Meet The Farmers

Our cane juice comes from sugarcane grown by local Sunshine Coast sugar cane farmers. Their properties are nestled in the foothills of Ninderry Mountain on the meandering banks of the Maroochy River. Their cane growing history dates back generations to early pioneering days when the times were tough and the men were tougher!

In 1906 Ned Apps started growing sugar cane making Troy a 6th generational cane farmer.

In the early days the cane was cut by hand and carted by barge up the Maroochy River to the Nambour sugar mill. Troy’s grandfather, Ozzy Apps says the industry was thriving when he was a young lad and there were 4 families of Apps’ growing sugarcane in the area.
